the project

This project was an interesting opportunity for Sparkjoy to collaborate with a group of professionals from the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Institute of Export and International Trade (IOE&IT) to create a new Trade4MSMEs website.

Trade4MSMEs.org is intended to provide informative guides and resources to help micro, small, and medium sized enterprises access global trade markets.

Sparkjoy delivered refreshed branding and website design as well as extensive work with animations and crafting a robust information architecture. There is a large amount of content on the site that we organized across a dozen custom post types, taxonomies, and associations.

The information is tailored to visitors based on their areas of interest, trade activity, and region. We built web interfaces that include dynamic content filters, custom search, and interactive maps to help a visitor quickly and easily focus in on what is important to them.

This project was notable for a set of custom tools we built to automate the aggregation and organization of structured content for the website. Our work included a custom chatGPT integration in conjunction with our own custom code that merged numerous spreadsheets, expert papers, and other authoritative 3rd party sources into a well structured Content Management System (CMS). We also use automation tools to translate this content into several languages.

The result is a fairly complex website with volumes of expert information that is easy for visitors to access and efficient for experts to administer and grow over time.
